Good shoes

I have heard a wise man say that there was something wonderful about "a pair of jeans that fit just right". While this is undoubtedly true, there is equal - or in my mind, greater - wonder at a pair of shoes that fit just right. I have just had such an experience, having had my favourite shoes rebuilt - they've come back from the cobbler looking shiny and new, but then fit right back on as only old comfortable shoes can. Wonderful!
